Malachi 1:11 - My name will be great among the nations, from the rising to the setting of the sun.

VWA was invited to Thailand to teach at the Bible College for 3 days and hold a 3 day Worship Conference and youth outreach. d2wThailand Worship Conference Feb. 24-26th, ending with a Youth Outreach on the evening of Feb. 26th.  We also conducted the Sunday services on Feb. 27th, as well as visiting area schools in the days before and after the conference.

Bible College Workshops,  Monday – Thursday,  Feb. 21st – 23rd include the following:

Full day of worship leading training
Effective Outreach
Rhythm and Tempo
Vocals and Harmony
Guitar (tentative)

d2w Thailand Worship Conference, Feb. 24th – 26th, included 3 main sessions with guest speakers Pastor Paul Militsala, VWA Director and Pastor Charlotte Quist.  Worship was provide by “From Love to Forfeit”, a band of 5 young men aged 17 – 19 years who have been performing & worshiping together since 2009, across Canada with concerts and conferences of up to 5000 people, and are working on their first full album.  The d2w Thailand Worship Conference ended at noon on Saturday, Feb. 23rd, and “From Love to Forfeit performed for a youth outreach in the evening.

The following is and except from an email we received from Thailand regarding the d2w and the youth band:

"We're really excited about this team coming. It's a key time in Thailand for youth and music.  Having these young guys come and show how a band works and being young, serving Jesus is huge!  So we'll be getting them to do some shows in schools and such ultimately leading to the big concert on Saturday night.   The concert will be held in our mall. The mall is always packed, so there will be many people, as well as the students from the schools that the guys will play at during the week.  We have a youth outreach here and they have a band.  This young band (15 year olds) will likely stick pretty close to learn.  They may open for them in the schools with some famous Thai songs. It'll be a blast!  From Love to Forfeit will gain popularity just because they're from Canada."
